Lefty Ryan Feierabend has been released by the Phillies according to Baseball America, the link to which I first saw on The Horn and Bell.
Feierabend (10-8, 5.39) had his well known struggles keeping the ball in the park (gave up a team-high 20 home runs in 2011), but became just the second pitcher in franchise history to reach the 10 win mark (Andrew Carpenter also did it in 2009). The team was 15-8 in games he started and his strikeout total of 92 was second only to Brian Bass (105) among 2011 starters.
He was projected to be back in the IronPigs rotation this season.
