Scott Elarton got his first win as a starter since 2007 and three relievers combined on four shutout innings as the IronPigs improved to 4-1 tonight with a 1-0 victory over the PawSox. It's already the second shutout for Pigs pitching in this early season.
Elarton, appearing in his first game since 2010, pitched five innings, giving up just two hits while striking out four and walking three to get the win. The last time he won a game as the starting pitcher was June 28, 2007 with New Orleans.
