Jeff Schuler thinks the Phillies will look outside the organization for a new Triple-A manager, something they have done every time since 1988, aside from when they promoted Dave Huppert from Clearwater prior to 2008.
Michael LoRe says Clearwater hitting coach John Mizerock could be someone the Phillies look at.
Both say that Sal Rende and Reading manager Dusty Wathan are candidates, but LoRe says a source indicates Rende is looking at other opportunities within the organization.
We won't know for sure until late November when the Phils officially announce all of their Minor League coaching staffs for 2013.

The Phantoms lost their final preseason game last night against the Connecticut Whale. It was a 1-1 game with 34 seconds left, but the Whale got one past Scott Munroe and then added an empty netter to win 3-1.
Flyers Brayden Schenn, Marc-Andre Bourdon, Danny Syvret, Sean Couturier, Harry Zolnierczyk, Eric Wellwood, Zac Rinaldo, and Erik Gustafsson all played for the Phantoms.
The Phantoms start their season next Saturday night at home against Portland.
