Phantoms Lose 3-1; Schwimer Files Grievance Against Phils [UPDATE: No He Hasn't]

The Phantoms fell to the Americans 3-1 tonight in Rochester. Sean Couturier scored the Phantoms' only goal in the first period off an assist from forward Jason Akeson and recently called-up defenseman Matt Konan. They are back home tomorrow to face Syracuse (13-5-1-1) at 7:00. The Crunch beat Hamilton 5-1 tonight.

Fan favorite Michael Schwimer
NBC Sports is reporting that the MLB Players Association has filed a grievance against the Phillies on behalf of Michael Schwimer. You might remember towards the end of last season when Schwimer argued he should have been placed on the Phillies' DL instead of being optioned to the Pigs. Between this, some past comments Schwim has made about the organization, and rumors he may be going to Texas in the Michael Young trade, you have to wonder if we will see him again.

UPDATE (1:58 AM, Saturday): According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com, no grievance has been filed against the Phillies. The MLBPA is investigating the situation however and they say a grievance remains a possibility.
